3 of 3 people found the following review helpful  Received a faulty one, 14 Feb 2011 This review is from: Draper 40423 230-Volt 710-Watt Variable-Speed Orbital Jig Saw with LED Work Light (DIY & Tools) The blade just did not align with the marking on the base plate. This made it very difficult to cut a line. The blade clamp also seemed unusually loose, which made it very difficult to even cut in a straight line (despite it being off-centre!). Returned for a refund. Think I will spend a little more money on another product rather than getting another one of these. In the short time I've had it, I've worked on wood of various thicknesses and plastic windowsills. It has performed better than I expected for a jigsaw at such a reasonable price. For the money it has great features, with an LED working light (which is really bright), and adjustable plate angle, and variable speed, for the money it is a sturdy, reliable piece of kit. Have cut out templates and straight rips and no problem mechanically. However the screws on the plate keep working themselves loose, and this can happen too with the screws for the guide. The guide is just a bent piece of metal, so not too sturdy. Bought new blades for it and this improves its accuracy, and quality. Changing blades is easy, and so far so good.
