8 of 9 people found the following review helpful  ok and works but let down by poor flexible shaft, 27 Mar 2011 This review is from: GMC DEC003AC 135 w Multi Function Rotary Tool (DIY & Tools) Checked the item on arrival and worked ok but main reason to buy was to do a job on my car and the flexible shaft was a big seller, knew that after 30 days i could not return but expected it to work fine. I waited a while for parts to come for my car and yesterday all was ready. The flexible shaft failed within 15 mins - the rubber tube came away near the spring - looking where it came away the tube is pinched on 2 sides to hold it in, very very poor design. I did however manage to finish the job without the flexible shaft and hope i can buy a better replacement, will need to contact the manufacturer to see if its faulty but i think its just a poor design. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful few things to take into account, 9 Jan 2012 This review is from: GMC DEC003AC 135 w Multi Function Rotary Tool (DIY & Tools) Okay - just received this in the post, so this isn't a review about how well it works. haven't taken it out of the packet yet (looks like I'll need another multitool to do that anyway). Just a couple of things you might want to consider before purchasing. 1) this thing is very large. The same sort of size as a cordless drill. About 3 times larger than any other rotary multitool I've ever seen. So without the flexible shaft this is not going to be suitable for close up delicate hobby work. By itself this is a two hand job. No way - unless you've got hands like a gorilla - you'll be able to do delicate work, or use this extensively one handed. 2) does not come with a carry case. Just in case you were hoping it did. So open the packet carefully as you'll probably need it to keep the thing in. More when I've actually used it :-) Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you?
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful  Early days, but looking good, 5 July 2011 This review is from: GMC DEC003AC 135 w Multi Function Rotary Tool (DIY & Tools) I have had this for a few weeks now, but not really used it much. I bought it for modelling purposes and certainly in what time I have used it everything seems fine. The price was very good when compared to other similar products and although the delivery date was stated as six weeks it actually arrived in half that time. In time I will no doubt purchase some dremel tools as from other reviews it appears they are a class above others but until then I have no complaints about this tool.
