If you're looking for a simple DIY Sliding Mitre Saw then look no further. The only thing I would recommend is that you buy an extra blade with far more teeth if you're cutting flooring for instance, as the 24T blade supplied is great for decking but can rip softer woods.

If you are looking for an electric compound saw that is quite light and compact to store then is one to consider. It is a versatile machine and quite capable of DIY tasks. Don't however expect to use it straight out of the box. Whilst the laser lines up with the blade (unlike the experiences I've had with more expensive tools) getting the saw setup can be a bit fiddly. Firstly it comes with just one Allen key, the right size to change the blade but not make any adjustments! Vertical adjustment is easy and mine wasn't that far off neither was 45 degree bevel cut. However to get it to cut square to the fence took some time. I had to drill out the bolt holes to 9mm to get enough play to get it right. The finger bolts to lock the saw at the correct angle are also a pain to tighten as really they are too short. would not recommend this saw for anyone other than the most amateur the laser does not line up with the saw blade no matter how much adjustment you do also the saw wobbles on its bearings
